3. Remove the cover plate. (Remember: use the lower slot for the 4Si or 4Si MX.) 4. Insert the card. Align the card with the guide rails in the printer. 5. Press the card into the slot until the card is firmly seated. 6. Tighten each thumbscrew a little at a time, alternating between each side until both of the screws are secure. 7. Connect the network cable. 8. Connect the power cord and turn on the printer. NOTE For the HP J4100A JetDirect card (RJ-45 and BNC), you can connect to one of the Ethernet ports (only one Ethernet port is active at a time).
