To keep the Ethernet OAM connections stable, HP recommends that you set the connection timeout timer at least five times the handshake packet transmission interval. The configuration in system view takes effect on all ports, but has a lower precedence than the configuration in interface view. After the timeout timer of an Ethernet OAM connection expires, the local OAM entity ages out its
connection with the peer OAM entity, causing the OAM connection to disconnect. To keep the Ethernet
OAM connections stable, HP recommends that you set the connection timeout timer at least five times the
handshake packet transmission interval.
The configuration in system view takes effect on all ports, but has a lower precedence than the
configuration in interface view.
