ethernet connection The printer's built-in ethernet feature allows you to connect the printer directly to an ethernet network without the need for an external print server. The printer's built-in ethernet feature does not support AppleTalk. Only Macintosh computers that are running Mac OS 9.04+ or Mac OS X v10.1+ and that support TCP/IP can communicate with the printer via the built-in ethernet feature.
