3 Setting up the e-Support Features Overview Overview e-Diagtools allows you to configure a networked computer to send the Support Ticket via e-mail or to update the BIOS. Most of the parameters necessary to accomplish these operations are collected by the HP e-Diagtools LAN Configuration Agent. The HP e-Diagtools LAN Configuration Agent is a Windows-based utility that gathers the network configuration of the PC and stores it in the HP Utility Partition. Alternatively, e-Diagtools contains an Advanced Configuration page to enable manual entry or alteration of the network parameters. NOTE The e-features of e-Diagtools do not work over a modem connection or if using automatic proxy server configuration. Also, they are not available when you run e-Diagtools from a CD-ROM. The e-features of e-Diagtools for Notebook PCs are provided by e-Diagtools for Windows, a windows application installed on the Notebook's hard disk drive. 14 English
