C Connect Printer to a LocalTalk Network Note Your HP LaserJet 6P/6MP printer does not come with LocalTalk network cables. You must obtain cables separately. Use a standard LocalTalk network cable and connector kit, such as the HP LocalTalk Network Cable Kit. (See page 2-20 for ordering information.) You will need one connector kit for each printer on your network. Additionally, each Macintosh computer on your network requires its own connector kit. Figure C-1 Connect to the End of a Network 1 Turn the printer off. Insert the connector box cable into the LocalTalk port of the printer. 2 Insert one end of the network cable into the connector box. 3 If the connector box is not self-terminating, insert a terminating resistor into the connector box. 4 Insert the other end of the cable into the last connector box on the network. (Remove the terminating resistor if necessary.) Turn the printer on. EN Connect Printer to a LocalTalk Network C-1
