Chapter 2 Opening and Closing the HP Netserver Replacing the PCI Card Cage Follow these steps to replace the PCI card cage and reconnect the card cage fan to the system board. 1. Align the PCI card cage with the guides on the and left side of the chassis. Lower the PCI card cage and plug the fan into the connector on the system board. See Figure 2-6. 2. Press down on the top of the card cage to plug the riser card into the motherboard. 3. Make sure that the front edge of the PCI card cage is seated on the guide pin. See Figure 2-6. Figure 2-6. Replacing the PCI Card Cage
Follow these steps to replace the PCI card cage and reconnect the card cage fan to
the system board.
1. Align the PCI card cage with the guides on the and left side of the chassis.
Lower the PCI card cage and plug the fan into the connector on the system
board. See Figure 2-6.
2. Press down on the top of the card cage to plug the riser card into the
motherboard.
3. Make sure that the front edge of the PCI card cage is seated on the guide pin.
