Additional information about test printouts appears in Chapter 6, “PostScript Printing.’’ Test Menu Items Item SELF TEST CONT SELF TEST (Continuous Self Test) PCL TYPE LIST PCL DEMO PAGE Explanation When SELF TEST is displayed, and you press [Enter], the printer runs a self test during which it displays the message 05 SELF TEST and all control panel lights are lit. During the printing portion of the self test, the message 06 PRINTING TESTis displayed. (See ''Understanding the Self Test Printout,'' in Chapter 5.) Prints continuous self-test pages until you press [On Line] or [Shift] + [Continue]. Then the 04 portion of the display blinks and several more pages print until the buffer clears. Press [On Line] when pages stop printing. Prints a list of the typefaces and bitmapped fonts currently available in your printer (both internal and accessory) for PCL print jobs.
