Print on both sides (duplex) with Mac Automatic NOTE: Automatic duplexing is only supported for the HP LaserJet Professional P1600 printer series product. The printer driver only supports certain media sizes for automatic duplexing. Use the manual duplexing procedure for media sizes not available in the printer driver. Automatic duplexing feature is enabled by default. To disable automatic duplexing, change the product configuration settings. See Change printer-driver settings for Macintosh on page 19. 1. Insert enough paper into the input tray to accommodate the print job. If you are loading special paper such as letterhead, load it face-down in the tray. 2. On the File menu, click Print. 3. Open the Layout menu. 4. Next to Two-Sided, select either Long-Edge Binding or Short-Edge Binding. 5. Click Print. Manual 1. Insert enough paper into the input tray to accommodate the print job. If you are loading special paper such as letterhead, load it face-down in the tray. 2. On the File menu, click Print. 3. Mac OS X v10.4: In the Layout drop-down list, select the Long-edged binding item or the Shortedged binding item. -or- Mac OS X v10.5 and v10.6: Click the Two-sided check box. 4. Click Print. Follow the instructions in the dialog box that opens on the computer screen before placing the output stack in the tray for printing the second half. 5. Go to the product, and remove any blank paper that is in the tray. 6. Take the printed stack from the output bin, and then insert the stack printed side down into the tray with the top edge feeding into the product first. 7. NOTE:
