Connect the product directly to a computer with USB NOTE: Do not connect the USB cable from the product to the computer until the installer prompts you to do so. 1. Insert the product CD into your computer. If the software installer does not start, navigate to the setup.exe file on the CD and double-click the file. 2. Follow the installer instructions. 3. Allow the installation process to complete, and then restart the computer. Printer sharing disclaimer HP does not support peer-to-peer networking, as the feature is a function of Microsoft operating systems and not of the HP printer drivers.
