4 RECEIVE AND TRANSMIT ■ Operating SSB q Select the desired band. (p. 25) w Push [SSB] to select the LSB or USB mode. • When operating above 10 MHz, USB is selected first; when operating below 10 MHz, LSB is selected first. • If desired, after USB or LSB is selected, hold down [SSB] for 1 second to select the data mode. e Rotate [DIAL] to tune a desired signal. • The S-meter indicates the received signal strength. • The tuning step can be changed in the tuning step program mode.
