7 DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING (DSC) D Receiving a Position Request call (May not be used, depending on the presetting) NOTE: Even if the Auto ACK function is set to "Manual," after receiving a Distress 1 Acknowledgment, or while in the Distress Cancel call procedure, the Position Reply is automatically sent to the calling station. 2 When a Position Request call is received: 3 • An alarm sounds. • "Received POS Request" is displayed. 4 1. Receiving a Position Request call
(May not be used, depending on the presetting)
NOTE:
Even if the Auto ACK function is set to “Manual,” after receiving a Distress
Acknowledgment, or while in the Distress Cancel call procedure, the Position Reply is
automatically sent to the calling station.
When a Position Request call is received:
• An alarm sounds.
•
“Received POS Request” is displayed.

Alarm OFF
to turn OFF the alarm.

Push the Software Key below the intended operation.
Ignore
:
Ignores the call and returns to the
operating screen.
• The call is saved in the DSC Log.

Hold
:
Holds the RX call task, and returns to the
Main screen.
Able
:
(Able to
comply)
Sends Acknowledgment “Able to comply”
right away.
Unable
:
(Unable to
Comply)
Sends an Acknowledgment “Unable to
Comply.”
• The call is saved in the DSC Log.
•
Displays the Acknowledgment
information, and then returns to the
operating screen by pushing
STBY

then
OK
.
Accept
:
Accepts the call.
• Displays the received call’s information.
• The call is saved in the DSC Log.
Push
ACK Able
or
ACK Unable
, then push
Call
to send the Position Reply call.
