OTHER FUNCTIONS 9 ■ Using the Intercom The optional Intercom function enables you to communicate between the deck and the cabin. The optional HM-195 commandmicIV™, HM-229 commandmicV™, or an Android/ iOS device is required for Intercom operation. L Connect the HM-195 or HM-229 as described on page 101. L Download the RS-M500 when you operate by the Android/iOS device. NOTE: While using the Intercom function, • Transmit is disabled. • The received call audio is muted. • Operation is disabled on devices other than the two that are using the Intercom function. 1. Open the "Intercom" screen. [MENU] > Intercom 2. Select the unit, then push [ENT] or [CH/ENT]. • Enters the Intercom mode. 3. Hold down Call to sound the intercom beeps. • The transceiver and the command microphone, or the mobile device sound beeps while holding down Call . • "Call" is displayed. 4. After releasing Call , hold down [PTT] and speak into the microphone at your normal voice level. • "Talk" is displayed. L To adjust the transceiver volume level, rotate [VOL]. L To adjust the command microphone's intercom volume level, rotate [VOL/SQL] (Dial) on the command microphone. 5. After releasing [PTT], you can hear the response through the speaker. 6. Push [CLEAR] to return to the previous screen. NOTE: While in the Intercom mode, the transmit and receive functions are disabled. Using the Intercom
The optional Intercom function enables you to communicate between the deck and the

iOS device is required for Intercom operation.

Connect the HM-195 or HM-229 as described on page 101.

Download the RS-M500 when you operate by the Android/iOS device.
NOTE: While using the Intercom function,
• Transmit is disabled.
• The received call audio is muted.
Operation is disabled on devices other than the two that are using the Intercom function.

Open the “Intercom” screen.
[MENU] >
Intercom

Select the unit, then push [ENT] or [CH/ENT].
Enters the Intercom mode.

Hold down
Call
to sound the intercom beeps.
• The transceiver and the command microphone, or the
