9 OTHER FUNCTIONS ■ Navigation The transceiver assists you to navigate to a selected destination. L The function works only when the transceiver is receiving valid GPS signals. L The function cannot work while in the MOB mode. NOTE: The Navigation function is a supplemental aid to navigation only, and is not intended to be a substitute for primary navigation equipment. D Starting navigation There are 3 ways of setting a destination using NAV , selecting in the AIS list, and selecting in the Waypoint list. NOTE: A popup screen is displayed when the vessel arrives at or near the destination. To stop the function, push any key. L When the Audible Alarm function is set to "ON," an alarm also sounds. (p. 60) Using [NAV]: 1. Push NAV on the operating screen. • The "Waypoint" screen is displayed. 2. Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select a waypoint. 3. Push Start to start navigation. • The plotter screen is displayed, and the transceiver starts to navigate. • is displayed on the plotter screen. 4. Push the Software Key for your next operation. Selecting in the AIS list: 1. Open the list screen. [MENU] > AIS > Target/Danger/Friend list 2. Push [▲] or [▼] or rotate [CH/ENT] to select an AIS target. 3. Push NAV . • "Start navigation. Are you sure?" is displayed. 4. Push OK to start navigation. • The plotter screen is displayed, and the transceiver starts to navigate. • is displayed on the plotter screen. Navigation
The transceiver assists you to navigate to a selected destination.

Using [NAV]:
1.
Push
NAV
on the operating screen.
• The “Waypoint” screen is displayed.

Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [CH/ENT] to select a
waypoint.

Start
to start navigation.
• The plotter screen is displayed, and the transceiver
starts to navigate.

Starting navigation
