10 MENU SCREEN D Settings Inactivity Timer The transceiver automatically returns to the operating screen if you push no key for the set period of time for each mode. z Not DSC Related Setting for when a screen that is not related to DSC is displayed. z DSC Related Setting for when a screen that is related to DSC is displayed. z Distress Related Setting for when a screen that is related to a Distress call is displayed. z RT Related Setting for when the transceiver is in the Radio Telephone mode. GPS Selects a satellite to be used for GPS (Global Positioning System) to pinpoint the geographic location of your transceiver anywhere in the world. This setting may not be usable, depending on the transceiver version or presetting. z GPS The GPS (Global Positioning System) is permanently set to ON. z GLONASS Selects whether or not to use the data from the GLONASS (GLObal'naya NAvigatsionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema) satellites. z SBAS Turns the SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) function ON or OFF. When turning ON this function, the GPS position accuracy can be improved. RX Hailer Set the RX Hailer function. L See page 73 for details. Noise Cancel The Noise Cancel function reduces random noise components in the received or transmitted signal. Set the function for both receiving and transmitting. z RX OFF: The Noise Cancel function is OFF. Low: Reduces random noise components in the received signal to approximately one half. Mid: Reduces random noise components in the received signal to approximately one third. High: Reduces random noise components in the received signal to approximately one tenth. z TX ON: Reduces random noise components in the transmitted signal to approximately one third. OFF: The Noise Cancel function is OFF. PWR SW from MIC Select whether or not to turn OFF the transceiver at the same time that you turn OFF the command microphone. L The optional command microphone is required to use this function. z All Units When you turn OFF the command microphone, the transceiver is turned OFF at the same time. z Own Unit The transceiver is not turned OFF even if you turn OFF the command microphone. Model (For only the European version) Select the country where you operate the transceiver. L After select the country, "The Settings are reset. Are you sure?" is displayed. Push OK to return to the Configuration screen. L If no country is selected, "General" is automatically selected. 83
