Replacing the Power Distribution Module To replace the power distribution module, follow these steps: 1. If installed, remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see "Removing the PCI Riser Assembly" on page 43. 2. If installed, remove the processor air duct. For instructions, see "Removing the Processor Air Duct" on page 48. 3. Remove the system fan assembly. For instructions, see "Removing the System Fan Assembly" on page 91. 4. Disconnect all power cables from the server board, midplane and backplane. 5. Remove the hot-swap power supply/supplies. For instructions, see "Replacing or Adding a Power Supply" on page 82. 6. Remove the screw to release the power distribution board cover (see letter "A" in Figure 72). 7. Replacing the Power Distribution Module
To replace the power distribution module, follow these steps:
1.
If installed, remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see
“Removing the
PCI Riser Assembly” on page 43

2.
If installed, remove the processor air duct. For instructions, see

.
3.
Remove the system fan assembly. For instructions, see
“Removing the System Fan
Assembly” on page 91
.
4.
Disconnect all power cables from the server board, midplane and backplane.
5.
Remove the hot-swap power supply/supplies. For instructions, see
“Replacing or
Adding a Power Supply” on page 82
.
6.
Remove the screw to release the power distribution board cover (see letter “A” in
Figure 72
).
7.
Lift the power distribution board cover from the server system (see letter “B” in
Figure 72
