Removing and Installing the PCI Riser Assembly Removing the PCI Riser Assembly To remove the PCI riser assembly, follow these steps: 1. Disconnect any cables attached to any add-in cards. 2. Grasp both riser latches with thumb and forefinger (see letter "A" in Figure 27), and pull up to release riser assembly. 3. Lift riser assembly straight up ( (see letter "B" in Figure 27). Removing and Installing the PCI Riser Assembly
Removing the PCI Riser Assembly
To remove the PCI riser assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Disconnect any cables attached to any add-in cards.
2.
Grasp both riser latches with thumb and forefinger (see letter “A” in
Figure 27
),
and pull up to release riser assembly.
3.
Lift riser assembly straight up ( (see letter “B” in
Figure 27
).

Caution:
Place the riser assembly upside down to avoid damage to the riser card connector.
4.
Do one of the following:
