When the battery starts to weaken, it loses voltage, and the server settings stored in CMOS RAM in the RTC (for example, the date and time) may be wrong. Contact your customer service representative or dealer for a list of approved devices. Warning: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to manufacturer's instructions. To replace the backup barttery, follow these steps: 1. If installed, remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see "Removing the PCI Riser Assembly" on page 43. 2. If installed, remove the processor air duct. For instructions, see "Removing the Processor Air Duct" on page 48. 3. Locate the battery (see Figure 68). 4. Insert the tip of a small flat bladed screwdriver, or an equivalent, under the tab in the plastic retainer. Gently push down on the screwdriver to lift the battery. 5.
