Bluetooth ࡗ Turning Bluetooth On and Off (page 123) ࡗ Using the Bluetooth Settings Menu (page 124) ࡗ Pairing Bluetooth Devices (page 125) ࡗ Sending Data via Bluetooth (page 127) About Bluetooth Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to a number of Bluetooth devices, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and Bluetooth-enabled handhelds, computers, printers, and wireless phones. The Bluetooth communication range is usually up to approximately 30 feet. Turning Bluetooth On and Off By default, your device's Bluetooth feature is turned off. Making your device Bluetooth-visible makes it "discoverable" by other in-range Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth management is done via the Wireless Manager. To access the Wireless Manager: ᮣ Press . Note Do not press and hold this key for too long as it will launch the Task Manager application. To turn Bluetooth on: 1. From the Wireless Manager, touch the Bluetooth field to enable the feature. Ⅲ When Bluetooth is inactive, the Bluetooth field displays the icon. X Ⅲ When Bluetooth is active, the icon is displayed on both this field and on the screen. 2.
