This allows the player to be used without power being supplied from the rechargeable battery. Notes • When you use a disc that contains audio tracks recorded in MD mode, make sure to install the software using the supplied CD-ROM before connecting your computer ( page 72). • When using Windows ME or Windows 98SE If you connect the player to the computer with the disc mode on the player set to "Hi-MD" (default setting), and then insert a 60/74/80-minute standard disc, the operation mode of the disc may automatically change to Hi- MD mode even if you do not record anything. • When using Windows ME or Windows 98SE When you disconnect the dedicated USB cable, the message "Unsafe Removal of Device" appears in the computer display. When connecting to the computer, power
