The audio data or disc management file has been damaged.  "AVLS" is set to "On" and so the volume cannot rise higher. Set to "Off" ( page 37).  A disc with no recording on it is inserted.  The player is accessing disc information. You tried to operate the player while it was accessing the recorded data. Wait until the message goes out (in rare cases, it may take a few minutes).  There is no audio data that can be played on the player. The audio data or disc management file has been damaged.  You tried to play an MP3 audio track that the player cannot play. Playable MP3 file format are those: transferred using the SonicStage software/MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3/sampling frequency of 44.1kHz.  You tried to charge the rechargeable battery at a place with a temperature outside the specified range for the player. Charge the battery at a temperature of +5° C (+41° F) to +35° C (+95° F).  You removed the disc while the system file was being rewritten after you shot a still image. Press / .  Voltage of the power supply is too high (The supplied AC power adaptor or the recommended car battery cord is not used). Use the supplied AC power adaptor or the recommended car battery cord.  You tried to shoot still images using a disc that does not have enough storage space.  The player reached to the end of the disc while playing or pushing the 5-way control key toward  (press and hold  on the remote).  The folder capacity is reached.  If the number of folder directories is more than 16, you cannot view the JPEG files on the player.  A disc with a format that the player does not support was inserted. Insert a standard MD or a disc used in Hi-MD mode.  A disc formatted on the computer was inserted. When formatting a disc on the computer, make sure to use the SonicStage software.  The player is locked. Slide HOLD against the arrow to unlock the player ( page 13).
