Operating Basics 4. Lay the disc, label side up, in the drawer. Inserting a disc Be careful not to touch the lens or the area around it. Doing so could cause the drive to malfunction. 5. Press gently at the center of the disc until you feel it click into place. The disc should lie below the top of the spindle, flush with its base. 6. Push the center of the drawer to close it. Press gently until it locks in place. If the disc is not seated properly when the drawer is closed, it might be damaged. Lay the disc, label side up, in the drawer.

Press gently at the center of the disc until you feel it click into place. The
disc should lie below the top of the spindle, flush with its base.

Push the center of the drawer to close it. Press gently until it locks in
place.
Closing the drive drawer
Be careful not to touch the lens or the area around it. Doing so could cause
the drive to malfunction.
If the disc is not seated properly when the drawer is closed, it might be
damaged. Also, the drawer might not open fully when you press the eject
button.
