Learning the Basics Starting a program 87 To reprogram the TOSHIBA Console button: 1 Click Start, then Control Panel, then select Toshiba Controls Services. NOTE: It is recommended that the Control Panel window be set to Classic View to access the Toshiba HW Setup icon. This displays the Toshiba Controls Properties dialog box. 2 Check the box under the Select a Button section to bring up the Select a Program menu. There are four options in assigning a function to the TOSHIBA Console button: ❖ Toshiba Console ❖ Starts your Internet browser (Internet Explorer) ❖ Starts your email (Outlook Express) ❖ Starts custom program 3 Select the radio button next to the option to which you wish to assign the TOSHIBA Console button. To assign a custom program click the Select button and enter the appropriate information for the program or select Browse to find the program. 4 Click OK twice. Starting a program The easiest way to start a program is to double-click the name of a file that is associated with the program you want to use.
