Prestige 128IMH ISDN Modem/ Router/Hub 1.3 The Built-In Modem The built-in V.90 modem is capable of maximum downloading speed of 56 kilobits per second (kbps). Please note that due to the local telephone regulations and the line quality of your local loop, the Prestige may or may not achieve the theoretical maximum throughput. Note also that the modem is a V.90 client; the maximum 56 kbps throughput is possible only when it connects to a V.90 server. When it connects to another V.90 client, the maximum throughput is 33.6 kbps in both directions. The modem also supports V.42bis compression to speed up data transfer. 1.4 Applications for Prestige 128IMH The following sections show you the possible applications for your Prestige. 1.4.1 Internet Access The Prestige is the ideal high-speed Internet access solution.
