Control Panel LCD messages 4 The message on the LCD shows the current printer status during normal operation. Ready o o n o The four o marks (also n, n=blinking o) indicate the Black (K), Yellow (Y), Magenta (M), Cyan (C) toner cartridges from left to right. The o marks indicate the status of the toner in the toner cartridges. When the o mark blinks (n), the indicated toner is nearly empty. When toner becomes empty, the o indicator disappears completely. 4 The mark indicates the wireless signal strength with four levels. ( means no signal, means weak, means middle, and means strong.) (HL-4070CDW only) When an error has occurred, the type of error is displayed on the first line of the LCD message as shown below. The message on the second line shows information for clearing the error. Cover is open Close the Front Cover Printer status messages 4 The following table shows the printer status messages during normal operation: Printer Status Message Cooling Down Job Cancel Ignore Data Pause Please Wait Printing Ready Sleep Meaning The printer is cooling down. Canceling the job. Printer is ignoring data processed using the PS driver. The printer has suspended its operations. Press Go to start the printer again. The printer is warming up. The printer is carrying out the calibration process. Printing. Ready to print. In Sleep state. 72
