BJ Cartridge Guidelines • Always store BJ Cartridges and ink tanks safely out of the reach of small children. If a child inadvertently licks a BJ cartridge or ink tank or ingests any ink, consult a physician immediately. • Do not leave an empty ink tank in a BJ cartridge. Remove it immediately after ink runs out. • To maintain optimum print quality, use up a BJ cartridge within one year after installation and ink tanks within six months of installation. I When to Replace the BJ Cartridge When your printed text is faint or the printed colors are wrong, print a Nozzle Check Pattern and check the status of the print head. Based on the results of the Nozzle Check Pattern, clean the print head and replace the ink tank or BJ cartridge if required. Using BJ Cartridges 72
