Loading an Image 1 Slide the paper guide to the left edge of the auto sheet feeder. 2 Place the image in the scanning holder. • To prevent paper jams, always insert the image you wish to scan into the scanning holder. • Do not leave the scanning holder in locations that are exposed to direct sunlight or that are subject to high temperatures or humidity. • When you load the scanning holder on the printer, be sure to set the paper thickness lever to the down (or envelope) position.
