Diagnostic Tools 4-3 POST Messages An error message results if the POST encounters a problem. This test runs when the system is turned on, checking assemblies within the workstation and reporting any errors found. CAUTION: RIMMs can reach a temperature of 212°F (100°C) in a matter of minutes. Caution should be excised whenever removing or replacing these components. NOTE: See Chapter 2 for more information on preparing the workstation for service.
