When a component in the interlock chain is improperly seated in its connector, the LED associated with the fault origination point will illuminate on the system board. A general interlock fault LED located second from the left of the Power On/Standby switch, or center LED on the front of the server will indicate when any of the system board interlock LEDs are amber. If the front panel interlock LED is amber, open the top access panel to identify which device is causing the failure. The table below will give the meaning of the System Board Interlock LED status. System Board Interlock LED Indicators
IMPORTANT:
This server is not equipped with chassis interlocks; however, board
interlocks are provided that connect the memory board, all processors, the peripheral
board, the miscellaneous cable and the power switch cable in one interlock chain.
When a component in the interlock chain is improperly seated in its connector,
the LED associated with the fault origination point will illuminate on the
system board.
A general interlock fault LED located second from the left of
the Power On/Standby switch, or center LED on the front of the server will
indicate when any of the system board interlock LEDs are amber.
If the front panel interlock LED is amber, open the top access panel to identify
which device is causing the failure. The table below will give the meaning of
the System Board Interlock LED status.
