In this way, the joined rack mounting bracket and bracket rail can be fastened to the rack as one assembly. Attaching the Bracket Rail to the Rack Mounting Bracket NOTE: Read all six steps before you begin. 1. Unpack the hardware mounting kit. Lay the two-piece slide rail assembly (outer bracket rail and inner server rail) and fasteners on a flat surface with the mounting brackets and fasteners that came with the rack. 2. Lay the bracket rail inside of the rack mounting bracket with the front of both pieces oriented in the same direction. Align the front screw hole in the rack mounting bracket and the bracket rail. To identify the front of the rack mounting bracket and the bracket rail, see that the front of the rack mounting bracket has alignment tabs on its flange and the front of the bracket rail enables the inner slide to move forward on ball bearings.
