Server Features 1-11 Maximum Fibre Channel Configuration A maximum Fibre Channel configuration optimizing performance and storage could include one NIC, five Fibre Channel Host Controllers, five 12-port Fibre Channel Storage Hubs, 55 Fibre Channel Arrays, and 440 18.2-GB drives (eight drives per array). This configuration yields a total external storage capacity of 8 TB (8008 GB). Security Features For detailed information about the following security features, see the Documentation CD included in the Reference Information pack shipped with your server. Software Security The software security features are established through the Compaq System Configuration Utility. The features include an administrator password, configuration lock, power-on password, diskette boot override, diskette write control, keyboard password, network server mode, parallel interface control, QuickLock, serial interface control, and remote access password. Hardware Security The following hardware security features are provided: PCI Hot Plug access door lock with key to protect PCI expansion boards Built-in interlock diagnostic lighting circuit on the processor, peripheral, and memory boards, (To prevent component damage, the interlock system does not allow power to be applied if critical system components that are not installed correctly). WARNING: To protect thermally sensitive components, do not operate the server with top or side access panels removed. Doing so may create high temperatures that could damage to the equipment. NOTE: No chassis interlocks exist on the rack server, but the system uses peripheral, and memory board interlocks.
