When replacing hot-plug hard drives, these guidelines must be followed: LED Green Amber Green Flashing Table D-7 Hot-Plug SCSI Hard Drive LEDs Power Status On Off On Description Never remove a hot-plug drive if the LED is green. After an online spare has been completely rebuilt, the online LED displays solid green. Replace a hot-plug hard drive when the drive's LED is amber. Drives that have been marked as failed by the controller are indicated by the amber Drive Failure LED on the drive tray. A drive's online LED flashes green when it is being rebuilt. Never remove a drive while another drive is being rebuilt. A replaced drive is restored from data stored on the other drives. Hot-Plug SCSI Hard Drives
IMPORTANT:
Before adding or removing any hot-plug SCSI drives, be sure to set the
