Ensure that the pair of brackets is perfectly aligned and installed and that the server fits before you continue. WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to the equipment, a minimum of two people MUST lift the server into the rack. The server may weigh 75 lb (34 kg). If the unit is to be loaded above chest level, a third person MUST assist in aligning the rails while the other two support the unit. IMPORTANT: To reduce the weight of the server and make it more manageable, do not install drives until after you load the server into the rack. 1. Pull the slide rails forward from the mounting brackets to a fully extended position. 2. Set the server handles on the extended slide rails.

Attaching Handles to the Server

Attach the rack mounting handles with screws.

Installing the Server into the Rack
Load and secure the server to the rack with the face plate thumb screws before
attaching any more mounting bracket assemblies. Ensure that the pair of
brackets is perfectly aligned and installed and that the server fits before you
continue.
