Note CAUTION Loading media to copy or scan To load originals in the optional copier/scanner: 1 Load the original with the side to be scanned facing up. If you scan a business card: a Load it with the long side (callout 1) facing forward and the text facing up. b Use the straight-through output path. See the user guide for more information. 2 Adjust the media guides. 3 Press SCAN to scan or press COPY for a copy. When you add new originals, always remove the originals from the input tray and straighten the stack. Small originals will cause a jam if they are not loaded correctly. 21 Figure 10. Loading media to copy or scan
To load originals in the optional copier/scanner:

Load the original with the side to be scanned facing up.
If you scan a business card:
a
Load it with the long side (callout 1) facing forward and the
text facing up.

more information.

to scan or press

OPY
for a copy.
Note
