Replacing supplies and parts Carefully follow the guidelines in this section when replacing printer supplies or parts. The transfer unit, fuser, and pickup roller are printer parts designed to last the lifetime of the printer. However, if these parts become damaged, they should be replaced. Locating supplies and parts Supplies and parts are identified by labeling and blue plastic handles. The following figure illustrates the location of each supply item and part. Changing print cartridges When a print cartridge approaches the end of useful life, the control panel displays a message recommending that you order a replacement.
