Pinpointing problems with device logins
1.
Log in to the switch as admin.
2.
Enter the
switchShow
command; then, check for correct logins.
3.
Enter the
portCfgShow
command to see if the port is configured correctly.
In some cases, you may find that the port has been locked as an L_Port and the device
attached is a fabric point-to-point device such as a host or switch. This would be an incorrect
configuration for the device and therefore the device cannot log into the switch.
To correct this type of problem, remove the Lock L_Port configuration using the
portCfgDefault
command.
