Documentation Anomalies Recommended Steps Use these steps to determine if there is a hardware problem. 1. Determine which component is indicated. The message provides the information as follows: I2C timed out: state 2. Check the LEDs on the related hardware component. 3. Enter the switchstatusshow, chassisshow, and sensorshow commands. 4. Take the appropriate action. If one of the components appears to be faulted, try reseating the component. If it still appears to be faulty, replace the component. Note: If the LEDs and command printouts indicate that all components are healthy, then it was a transient I2C bus fault, and no action is required.
