Parts Removal and Replacement Power Supply 4. Remove the two T-15 Torx screws that connect the power supply to the rear wall of the chassis and the one in the lower left corner of the power supply (Step 4 below). Figure 2-9. Removing the Power Supply, Steps 4-5 Step 4: Remove T-15 Torx Screws Step 5: Remove Jack Screws 5. Remove the power supply by alternately loosening the two jack screws from the upper corners of the power supply (Step 5 above). Keep loosening the screws alternately until you can slide the power supply toward you and off the guide rails. (The jack screws remain attached to the power supply when it is removed.) WARNING The power supply is heavy, weighing approximately 17 pounds (7.7 kilograms). Be prepared to handle the weight when you slide it off of the guide rails, or injury may result. Replacing the Power Supply CAUTION To prevent system damage, inspect the power supply making sure no cables are obstructing the guide rails before trying to slide the power supply back into place. 1. Align the power supply with the guide rails and slide it into the I/O board connectors. Alternately tighten the two jack screws (in the upper corners of the power supply). Take care to align the right-side jack screw to the threads in the back of the workstation chassis (see Step 1 below). 20 Chapter 2
