Parts Removal and Replacement PCI I/O Cards PCI I/O Cards This section describes how to remove and replace the PCI I/O cards. NOTE Prior to removing the PCI I/O cards, the Front, Top, Right Side Panel, and PCI Retainer clip need to be removed. See the appropriate section(s) for removing and these components. Removing PCI Cards 1. Facing the PCI card cage, remove the screw that secures it to the back of the workstation. Figure 2-13. It may take some strength to pull the card out because of the tight connection to the I/O board. Once the card is out, place it on the conductive sheeting. CAUTION When removing a PCI card, do not rock it from side to side. PCI cards can be damaged; handle them with care. NOTE If the PCI card is stuck, look at the slots from the back of the workstation; the filler plate of the PCI card may be causing the obstruction 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 above to remove all of the PCI cards. 22 Chapter 2

PCI I/O Cards
PCI I/O Cards
This section describes how to remove and replace the PCI I/O cards.
NOTE
Prior to removing the PCI I/O cards, the Front, Top, Right Side Panel, and
PCI Retainer clip need to be removed. See the appropriate section(s) for
removing and these components.
Removing PCI Cards
1.
Facing the PCI card cage, remove the screw that secures it to the back of the
workstation.
