5-5 Importing Data It is possible to import FED-formatted dialing data as well as address data that has been created with other applications. Compatible formats are: • CSV files • Files saved by the Address Book for Network FAX (FDT format) • Files saved by the Address Editor for FAX utility (FED format) Perform the following procedure when you want to import address data. 1. Follow steps 1 through 6 under "5-1 Registering Self-Station Information" on page 5-2 and open the Address Editor for FAX window. Then select the desired method of connection to the fax machine. 2. Point to the Dial command under the Registration menu. The Dial Registration window will appear. 3. Click on the Import button. The Import Tool dialogue box will appear. 4. Select the desired file format from the The file to be imported list and then click on the Import button. The Open dialogue box will appear. (This screen-shot shows the selection of an CSV file.) 5. Select the desired file and then click on the Open button. If you selected a CSV file, the One-Touch Dial Import dialogue box will appear. In this case, go to the next step. If you selected an FDT file, the confirmation of the imported contents. dialogue box will appear. In this case, go directly to step 8. If you selected a FED file, the All dials will be overwritten. Importing Data
It is possible to import FED-formatted dialing data as well as address data that has been created with other applications.
Compatible formats are:
CSV files
Files saved by the Address Book for Network FAX (FDT format)
Files saved by the Address Editor for FAX utility (FED format)
Perform the following procedure when you want to import address data.
1. Follow steps 1 through 6 under

on page 5-2 and open the
Address Editor for
FAX
window. Then select the desired method of connection to the fax machine.
2. Point to the
Dial
command under the
Registration
menu. The
Dial Registration
window will appear.
3. Click on the
Import
button. The
Import Tool
dialogue box will appear.
5. Select the desired file and then click on the
Open
button.
If you selected a CSV file, the
One-Touch Dial Import
dialogue box will appear. In this case, go to the next step.
If you selected an FDT file, the
confirmation of the imported contents.
