Chapter 7 DHCP Commands This section describes the DHCP commands available in the 7200 Series Managed Switch CLI. DHCP automatically allocates and manages client TCP/ IP configurations. DHCP uses UDP as its transport protocol and supports a number of features that facilitate in administration address allocations. The DHCP Server Commands section includes the following topics: • Section 7.1 "DHCP Server Commands (DHCP Config Pool Mode)" on page 7-2 • Section 7.2 "DHCP Server Commands (Global Config Mode)" on page 7-9 • Section 7.3 "DHCP Server Clear and Show Commands" on page 7-12 • Section 7.4 "DHCP and BOOTP Relay Commands" on page 7-15 The commands in this section are in one of three functional groups: • Configuration Commands are used to configure features and options of the switch. For every configuration command there is a show command that will display the configuration setting. • Show commands are used to display switch settings, statistics and other information. • Clear commands clear some or all of the settings to factory defaults.
