PLU level shift (for direct PLUs) This function can increase the number of direct PLUs on your POS terminal without adding additional direct PLU keys. You can use direct PLUs in five levels by utilizing the PLU level shift keys LEVEL 1 thru LEVEL 5 . The level key shifts the PLU level to the required level. (The normal level is level 1.) You must program your machine in the PGM2 mode to select one of the two PLU level shift modes - automatic return mode* or lock shift mode** - and decide whether to allow both the manager and servers/cashiers or only the manager to perform the PLU level shift function. * The automatic return mode automatically shifts the PLU level back to the preset level after pressing a direct PLU key or finalizing each transaction. ** The lock shift mode holds the current PLU level until another PLU level shift key is pressed. Automatic return mode (for PLU levels) If your terminal has been programmed for PLU level shift in the automatic return mode, press a desired PLU level shift key before a numeric entry.
