TD-W8950ND 150Mbps Wireless Lite N ADSL2+ Modem Router User Guide 4.5.4 NAT NAT (Network Address Translation) allows you to share one WAN (Wide Area Network) IP address for multiple computers on your LAN (Local Area Network). Figure 4-30 ) Note: When you select PPPoA or PPPoE for the WAN Setup, or when you select Enable NAT for the type of IPoA and IPoE connection, you will see the NAT menu in the Web-based Utility (shown in Figure 4-31). Choose "Advanced Setup→NAT", there are three submenus under the main menu: Virtual Servers, Port Triggering and DMZ Host. Click any of them, and you will be able to configure the corresponding function. Figure 4-31 4.5.4.1 Virtual Servers Choose "Advanced Setup→NAT→Virtual Servers", you can set up virtual servers on the screen below (shown in Figure 4-32). Virtual servers can be used for setting up public services on your LAN, such as DNS, Email and FTP. A virtual server is defined as a service port, and all requests from the Internet to this service port will be redirected to the computer specified by the server IP. Any PC that was used for a virtual server must have a static or reserved IP Address because its IP Address may change when using the DHCP function. Figure 4-32 36
