This section describes the LED (Light Emitting Diode) display and basic operations on the operation panel. The number 1 is displayed on the LED normally when turning on the power. The LED display indicates the machine status as follows. Machine Status LED Display While copying Number of copies (flashing) While printing, scanning, or performing maintenance operations (displayed in order) When an error occurs E and numbers are displayed in order. For details on the error codes, see "Alarm Lamp Is Lit Orange" in An Error Code Is Displayed on the LED. While the paper output cover is open P and numbers are displayed in order. An error that requires contacting the service center may have occurred. For details, see "Alarm Lamp Flashes Orange" in An Error Code Is Displayed on the LED. The FINE cartridge holder is being moved to the replacement position. The machine is getting ready for FINE cartridge replacement. (flashing) Ready to replace a FINE cartridge. The head cover is opened and the FINE cartridge holder stops in place. (displayed alternately) Number of Copies When copying starts, the specified number of copies is displayed on the LED. While copying is in progress, the number on the LED flashes and decreases by one to indicate the remaining number of copies to be made.
