Removing Printed Documents from the Top Delivery Tray You can remove the printed documents loaded on the top delivery tray by the following procedure. Removing Printed Documents by Opening the Top Cover Removing Printed Documents from between the Guide Arms Important • When removing printed documents on the top delivery tray, it is recommended that you remove all printed documents. If you return the removed printed documents to the top delivery tray, the paper may become jammed. • Depending on the paper type, the default output destination is set to the top. If you are concerned about scratches or stains on the printed documents output on the top, it is recommend that you switch the output destination to the front. For details on how to switch the output destination, see the following pages. Using the Basket on the Front of the Printer • Roll paper up to 55.0 in. (1397.0 mm) in length can be collected in the top delivery tray. Note • Printed documents are loaded with the printed side down. Removing Printed Documents by Opening the Top Cover The wider outlet makes it easier to remove printed documents. It is recommended that you use this procedure to remove 10 or more printed documents, large printed documents, and easily scratched printed documents. 1. Open top cover. 183
