3 Prepare the new toner cartridge. 1. Open a package containing the indicated color's toner cartridge, and remove the toner cartridge. Routine Maintenance 2. Hold the new toner cartridge in both hands, as shown on the left, and gently tilt it several times. 3. Remove the protective cap from the new toner cartridge. Twist the protective cap of the new toner cartridge in the direction of the arrow to remove it. 4 Insert the new toner cartridge. 2 1 1. Align the arrow on the ring near the end of the new toner cartridge with the arrow on the toner inlet of the machine, as indicated in the diagram. 2. Push the new toner cartridge in as far as possible. Support the new toner cartridge with your hand from underneath while pushing it into the machine with your other hand. 87

1.■ Open■a■package■containing■the■
indicated■color's■toner■cartridge,■and■
remove■the■toner■cartridge.
2.■ Hold■the■new■toner■cartridge■in■both■
hands,■as■shown■on■the■left,■and■
gently■tilt■it■several■times.
3.■ Remove■the■protective■cap■from■the■
