Each EIDE connector supports two EIDE drives (Drive 0 and Drive 1). For EIDE hard-disk drives, the system provides an automatic drive-type detect feature. To use this feature, highlight the appropriate Drive option and type a (for automatic). If none of the supported drive types matches the parameters of the new drive, enter parameters directly. To do so, highlight the appropriate Drive option (Drive 0 or Drive 1) and type u to display . Press to highlight each of the parameter fields in suc- cession, and enter the appropriate number for each field. NOTES: For EIDE devices such as EIDE CD-ROM drives and EIDE tape drives that are using the built-in EIDE controller, set the appropriate Drive option to Auto. NOTE: The OptiPlex NX1 chassis supports only one hard-disk drive and no CD-ROM drive or tape drive. Designates a region of system board memory that can be supplied by an expansion card. This feature should not be enabled unless an expansion card that requires special addressing is installed.
