If installed, remove the air shroud. 5. Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped. Steps 1. Connect the PERC cable to the front PERC module. 2. Align the front PERC module at an angle until the tray touches the slot in the system. 3. Press the front PERC module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated. 4. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the front PERC module. NOTE: The numbers on the image do not depict the exact steps. The numbers are for representation of sequence. remove the air shroud
.
5.
Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1.
Connect the PERC cable to the front PERC module.
2.
Align the front PERC module at an angle until the tray touches the slot in the system.
3.
Press the front PERC module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated.
4.
Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the front PERC module.
