HP policy on non-HP supplies Hewlett-Packard Company cannot recommend the use of non-HP print cartridges and imaging drums, either new or remanufactured. NOTE: For HP printer products, the use of a non-HP print cartridge or a refilled print cartridge does not affect either the warranty to the customer or any HP support contract with the customer. However, if product failure or damage is attributable to the use of a non-HP print cartridge or refilled print cartridge, HP will charge its standard time and materials charges to service the product for the particular failure or damage. HP fraud hotline and Web site Call the HP fraud hotline (1-877-219-3183, toll-free in North America) or go to www.hp.com/go/ anticounterfeit when you install an HP print cartridge and the control-panel message says the cartridge is non-HP or used. HP will help determine if the cartridge is genuine and take steps to resolve the problem.
