Loading Ink When to Load Ink The amount of ink in each ink box is shown in bar graphs on the control panel. The control panel notifies you when it is time to exchange an empty ink box with a new one. Note A small amount of ink may drip from the connectors when disconnecting and connecting them. To protect your hands from ink stains when unloading and loading ink boxes, wear latex or nitrile gloves. Unloading an Empty Ink Box 1. Open the ink supply access door. 2. Remove the profiler corresponding to the ink you are replacing. 3. Lift the box out of its holder and turn the box upside down so the ink tube is pointing up. 4. Push the button at the end of the ink tube connector and disengage the tube from the ink box. 5. Remove and dispose of the ink box (refer to the MSDS for proper disposal procedures). Loading Ink
When to Load Ink
The amount of ink in each ink box is shown in bar graphs on the
control panel. The control panel notifies you when it is time to
exchange an empty ink box with a new one.
Note
A small amount of ink may drip from the connectors
when disconnecting and connecting them. To pro-
tect your hands from ink stains when unloading and
loading ink boxes, wear latex or nitrile gloves.
Unloading an Empty
Ink Box
1.
Open the ink supply access door.
2.
Remove the profiler corresponding to the ink you are
replacing.
3.
Lift the box out of its holder and turn the box upside down so
the ink tube is pointing up.
4.
Push the button at the end of the ink tube connector and dis-
engage the tube from the ink box.
5.
Remove and dispose of the ink box (refer to the MSDS for
proper disposal procedures).
Loading a Full Ink Box
1.
Open the new ink box and locate the supply connector.
