3 CONFIGURING THE SYSTEM THROUGH THE INTERNET Step 1. Settings on the receiver This section describes how to setup the receiver. NOTE: When you change a setting that shows "(Valid after Restart)," you must restart the receiver after setting, so it will take effect. ••After restarting, keep the receiver's power ON, or remain in the remote standby mode. Network setting Items Network Control Internet Access Line Contents OFF (Default) ON Your internet access line type Example: FTTH (Default) User registration Items Network User1/2 ID Network User1/2 Password Network User1/2 Administrator Contents A User ID ••Up to 16 characters Example: USER1 A Password ••8 to 16 characters ••At least two different characters must be used. Example: USER0001 NO (Default) YES ••When the user is set as an administrator. To prevent unauthorized access: Set a long and strong password so that no one can possibly guess it. Mix upper and lower case letters, numbers or characters.
